Absolutely not. Our program is specifically designed for adults in their 30s, 40s, 50s, and beyond. In fact, research shows that starting Taekwondo later in life is one of the most effective ways to combat age-related declines in balance, bone density, and cognitive function.

No. The purpose of the program is to get you into shape. We focus on a “progressive load” strategy, meaning we meet you at your current fitness level and gradually increase the intensity as your body adapts and strengthens.

Unlike “hard-style” martial arts or high-impact running, the World Taekwondo (Olympic) style emphasizes fluid, technical movements. Our instructors are trained to prioritize proper biomechanics and functional flexibility, which often helps alleviate chronic joint stiffness rather than causing it.

Because our founder is a clinical psychologist, our curriculum includes “Mental Skills” training. You will learn evidence-based techniques for emotional regulation and stress management that are integrated directly into your physical drills.

Safety is our highest priority. During your initial trial, we discuss any previous injuries or physical limitations. Our instructors can provide modifications for most movements to ensure you are training safely and effectively.

For optimal results in both physical health and skill retention, we recommend 2 to 3 classes per week. This allows for adequate recovery while maintaining the “neuro-motor” benefits of the practice.

No, we don’t do contracts because we also value flexibility and we are confident that our students will want to be apart of our community. We offer month to month memberships as well as discounted memberships for multi-month memberships paid in advance. 

TKD Wellness membership fees are affordable compared to other programs that can cost over $150/month. We also want to encourage families to train together and give large discounts as a result.
